Dance The Night Away
If you would like to feel the atmosphere of this post, listen to the song ‘Dancing With The Dead’ by Incendio

The Medieval Ball held inside the chateau
The nobility of all the lands dance below the chandeliers
The King sits high upon his throne reveling in the night
Somewhere the moon sets and somewhere the sun dawns
Here among the stars dance the high among the low
Here amidst the rich dance the masks of fate
Here twirling between them all are the furies from high above
Somewhere the lines of earth have met the starlit sky
The illusion of illusions, the court jester dances the macabre
The princes are yet above him and the paupers cannot see him
With an apple in one hand and the king’s scepter in the other
He intertwines himself amongst them all, shining like the stars
The princess feels the forked tongue upon her neck, she is seduced
The prince observes the bosom of love before his eyes, he is seduced
Together they dance the macabre, together they bite the apple
The jester has them now, as a threesome they dance eternal
The King shouts down a warning, it is to no avail
The princes and the Princesses are dancing their fates to death
The jester has won the battle, the noble among us vanish in the night
Somewhere the chandeliers fall and somewhere the dance continues
The king is gone; his efforts of love pass unnoticed
The apple wins the day, for there is no tomorrow
The jester laughs away, for yesterday is but a dream
We all are seduced this way, for today the choice is but a scream

wow.
indeed. i think i see things in here that i’m not sure that i see. illusions of illusions they are indeed. or alusions prehaps? what do you think?
oh, and legos are awesome! i would steal my brothers legos all the time so finally my relatives started buying them for me too. wasn’t much of a doll fan as a child. (exception being barbies) but i was more of a outdoors, video games, animal toys, books, artsy things. (artsy things includes legos as they are a building toy and building things is an art, esp when you are a child) ah, to be young and ignorant again. t’would be bliss.
One Christmas some relatives (who apparently didn’t know me well) got my brother Legos and me a Barbie plastic flip thing of clothes to etch. oh, I was jealous. So yes, I “borrowed” those too. I did tons of artsy things too, and science.
Allusions to Illusions. Nice line! I like it.
I wasn’t much of a doll fan as a kid either. Well except for G.I. Joes! When I still lived in cincy(late 80′s early 90′s) my friend Jimmy and I would shoot G.I. Joes out of trees with a B.B. gun! That was fun stuff. Then we grew up and began to pelt pigeons. G.I. Joes were so boss. Ninja Turtles too….
my bro wasn’t really into gijoe, so i couldn’t steal those. so my barbies went on dates with the ninja turtles instead. LoL. and i didn’t have one of those flip things in barbie form. mine was the little mermaid. my brother got a monster one. (so in reality, i got 2 toys to play with and my brother got 1, hahaha)
it’s funny how girls can and want to play with what are considered to be male toys, while it’s not excepted for boys to play with girly toys. “jimmy, if you don’t leave that tea party with your sisters dollys and go outside, then your not a man.” (exceptions being when the parents make their son play something with his sister. for some reason that’s ok. i guess as long as the boy isn’t by himself, LoL)
hm, maybe it has a bit to do with males being seen in the past as superior, so girls can reach out of their feminine boundaries to embrace masculine strengths, but guys can’t descend to girly practices.
I guess that’s why they have tomboys, but not tomgirls? Even then, stay a tomboy past about 13 or so and all of a sudden the name changes to ‘butch’. It’s funny how many games we play with the gender cards.
those silly card games that boys and girls play, LoL.
