I was playing 1 on 7(Gondor vs. all Mordor) last night and decided to take a screenshot for my Xanga page here. See Gandalf on Shadowfax? See the Eagles? See the Army of the Dead? See the green patch in the upper right hand corner where I had just summoned some Elven Archers? See the various members of the Fellowship within my army there at the bottom of the screen? If all that isn’t enough for you to want to play this game, I don’t know what is. Only $20 now I think. Love Real-Time Strategy games? Worth it. Love Middle-Earth? Definitely worth it. Love both? Go get it!!!

20 by 50
Something I mentioned to my brother on the way back from the game is that for any sports fan, going to an OSU/Michigan game has to be on their to-do-by 50 list. It clicked that I’ve never made any list like that later on that night, and an hour ago I made one. So by the time I turn 50 these are the 20 things I want to do(note that they will all have to be proven via pictures). And no Sara, making love to Rashida Jones is not on the list(unless she’s involved with #19 and/or 20). They all have to be done live and in person. No photoshopping or anything like that. Anyways, my personal to-do-by-50 list:
1. Take a picture underneath a Jolly Roger.
2. Take a picture from the top of the Eiffel Tower.
3. Take a picture of an Alaska license plate.
4. Take a picture of a live snow-leopard(not on T.V.).
5. Take a picture of a live celebrity.
6. Take a picture of the inside of the whitehouse.
7. Take a picture from a lookout tower on the Great Wall of China.
8. Take a picture under the Sphinx.
9. Take a picture of an English Castle.
10. Take a picture from the middle of stonehenge.
11. Take a picture of a jumping dolphin.
12. Take a picture from all 50 states(no maps or globes).
13. Take a picture at an English Premier League Match.
14. Take a picture at a World Cup Match.
15. Take a picture at an Olympic Hockey game.
16. Take a picture from behind a waterfall.
17. Take a picture of my first pet.
18. Take a picture of my first house.
19. Take a picture of my wife the moment before she removes her wedding dress.
20. Take a picture of my firstborn. -
OSU/Michigan 11/18/06
Picture 1 – Script Ohio
Picture 2 – A Buckeye Play
Picture 3 – Fans charging the field as the final seconds tick away.
Picture 4 – Picture taken while I(and Michael) was on the field. We stole some turf.
I only had a little kodak disposable and my phone. Michael had a digital camera and once he gets me those photos I’ll post a ton more. He took 72.

The Day I Turned Democrat
11/7/06
And until there is a pro-environment republican candidate I’m going to stay democrat. Anyone see that stupid truck commercial where bruce springsteen sings that patriotic song that makes it sound like the american thing to do is buy a chevy truck? Yeah it’s the one where it goes “this is our dress code”, “this is our attitude”, etc and shows clips of Muhammed Ali and Martin Luther King Jr. Pure idiocy. It’s all meant to make the regular blue-collar guy go “yeah it’s american to buy chevy”. Well the reason why the corporate big-wigs have decided to appeal to the patriot within us is because all the foreign cars have been getting more and more fuel efficient and the people purchasing cars have been getting more and more environmentally conscious. So? “Hey, we gotta make it sound like buying these foreign cars is unpatriotic!” “Yeah! Let’s get bruce springsteen to write some sentimental crap that will appeal to the factory worker guys!” Well I personally think those factory worker guys are all smart enough to see through the bullshit and decide not to be duped.
Had Mike Dewine and Ken Blackwell been elected/reelected yesterday, the American thing to do would still be to ignore environmental issues. Guess what, if we don’t change our ways, the American Way is going to be one of the most derided ways in history. That is, if anyone survives the effects of climate change over the next hundred years. We are arrogant, we are narcissistic, and we are full of pride. Thus, changing isn’t exactly in our blood. Revolution is, but changing for the good of those outside ourselves? Not exactly. So I’m glad I helped get Sherrod Brown and Ted Strickland into office yesterday. In fact, local radio is beginning to ask whether Ted Strickland, having taken such a critical election state so easily, would be a good running mate for Hilary, if not a presidential candidate himself. I’d vote for him, though it’d take some soul-searching to deal with her. Anyways, I’m not interested in finding out whom anyone else voted for. Nor do I care what party affiliation you have chosen. I’m only sharing who I voted for and what party I am affiliated with as of yesterday.
Hail to the American Way. ::beep beep::
