  • New Song! Zanzibar – Koinonia

    Link To My New Song!

So as most of you know, I made a few songs back in 2005 through a music production program called Acid Pro 5.0. And then you’ll remember that I purchased an updated version of the software called Acid Pro 7.0 a couple months back. Well, this past week I finally completed my first new song as ‘Zanzibar’. That was the handle under which I made my music back in 2005. Feel free to check out the link and hit play. There is an option to make it downloadable, but it is only available to Soundcloud Premium members. If I make a few more song then it might be worth it to make them all available, but until then….just press play! Totally free and you don’t have to sign up.

    From Wikipedia:

Koinonia is the anglicisation of a Greek word (κοινωνία) that means communion by intimate participation. The word is used frequently in the New Testament of the Bible to describe the relationship within the Early Christian church as well as the act of breaking bread in the manner which Christ prescribed during the Passover meal [John 6:48-69, Matthew 26:26-28, 1 Corinthians 10:16, 1 Corinthians 11:24]. As a result the word is used within the Christian Church to participate, as Paul says, in the Communion of – in this manner it identifies the idealised state of fellowship and community that should exist – Communion.

  • Cognitive Behavior Therapy

I went to my doctor today and am being referred for Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Apparently it is helpful in treating both Schizophrenia and Social Anxiety Disorder. So yeah, I’m nervous but at the same time looking forward to it.

Has anyone else out there gone through this and, if so, can you let me know what you did and how it helped you?

    Thanks,

EDIT: I went 7-9 this week. Oh well. The first week is always really unpredictable.

  • Chapter 7 completed

Earlier this afternoon I finished the outline for Chapter 7. Yes I’m calling them outlines now because the fact of the matter is that there is so much information being crammed into single sentences and paragraphs, that it is going to take a rough draft to expand on them. Right now I am all about getting the ideas down on paper. Last week was spent reviewing the Prologue and first six chapters. There were grammatical errors everywhere. But that’s okay because right now I’m just trying to get from the Prologue to the Epilogue. In between the two I figure there are going to be about 40 chapters. At 3,000+ words apiece I figure the outline alone will be around 130,000 words.

I will be honest, had I known that the freakin outline would have been the size of a book, I may not have understaken this project. But I will be equally honest in saying that now that I am nine months into it and have seen that I can work at a steady pace and have the support of my family(most of them), it’s…well….kinda fun. Don’t get me wrong, it’s hard work and will take me about 2 1/2 years overall to get the outline done. But I look forward to that challenge ahead.

And since I’m not going to be sharing the chapter, here is a little bonus for you for making it through this post.

This is game number 200 of Hearts on my computer. I am at a steady 51% winning clip. Not bad eh?

  • Define Multitasking

Tonight from about 8 PM until 11 or so I was:

    1. Listening to some homemade trance CD’s
    2. Watching a Cincinnati Reds game(they beat the Astros 9-3)
    3. Following the Boise St./Michigan St. game via ESPN.com gamecast
    4. Texting my Dad about the Reds and Pirates playoff chances
    5. Contemplating the next few chapters of my book
    6. Figuring out my NFL Football picks for next week

    So yeah, busy night. ::sigh::
